Mandatory introductions?

Post by Onio »

Curious what you guys thing, but should we make introductions a mandatory first time post? I have the option to make newly registered users only able to create a topic in the introductions forum, and by doing so, their account is automatically upgraded to a normal account with full access.

I think it makes sense. That way, you can actually know who it is that you're talking to a little bit more. Plus, it could help prevent spam.

I agree with kirby, that makes sense. It also gives new people something to do, and might help not making them overwhelmed at first if this grows a lot.

Sounds sensible. It acts as a deterrent against spambots, and also gives new users a bit of a push to communicate with others.
