I love stickers! I used to give them away for free, usually as a complimentary item with a purchase of a zine, CD, vinyl, or shirt. I’d have them sitting out at merch booths, and they’d always go pretty fast.
I've printed my own, I've printed them at local print shops, and I've ordered them online. Out of all three methods, I highly recommend a business called Sticker Robot. They occasionally have really great deals (almost sent for some stickers recently... almost). Anyway, the quality on their vinyl is insane. I still see stickers I put up over 15 years ago that haven't degraded at all. Uh, this wasn't supposed to be a targeted ad for a sticker company, I swear.
As for shipping your own: standard envelopes and postage stamps are the way to go (you probably know this). I've never loved going to the post office, but standard envelopes can just be dropped right into your home mailbox.
Strictly speaking, in the US, USPS doesn't strictly require a return address on regular stamped envelopes. However, if an address has a typo or gets smudged, an envelope without a return address just gets tossed into the USPS dead letter bin and disappears forever. You lose the sticker, and they never get it :-[
